Churchill at the Teheran Conference in 1943
At the beginning of World War II, Churchill became First Lord of the Admiralty. Its main mission is to Bender Ball strengthen the base of Scapa Flow in Scotland and Germany to prevent their ships across the North Atlantic to attack merchant ships from the colonies. The next episode was criticizing the attack in Finland by the USSR. The Finns resisted the first envite in December 1939 and Churchill consider of vital importance to the Port of northern Norway to also supplying arms to Finland. His next idea to make the ports from where it left Swedish contingent of iron to Germany. But Hitler was anticipated and Bender Ball Method takes the initiative: simultaneously decides to invade Denmark, Sweden and Norway at that time neutral to avoid being attacked immediately. Churchill decided to fight back and send a flotilla to the Norwegian port taken by the Germans without success. The failure of the operation in Norway calls into serious trouble with Chamberlain that after several sessions of control in parliament has to endure harsh criticism. Churchill despite the mistakes of Chamberlain assumes all responsibility for the Leslee Bender failure but it is not enough. Chamberlain submits his resignation and King to Churchill proposed the formation of the government. Form the government on May 11, 1940.
The next crisis to deal with is the battle of France. In late May 1940, Hitler decided to attack Holland, Belgium and France. The first days in fall, while France and Belgium can barely retain the attacks of German armored vehicles. At last the May 25, 1940 the Germans broke the first line of defense near Sedan. Churchill did not seem too worried but when he travels to Paris and learns that the Cabinet of the French War had not prepared a strategic reserve army feared the worst. Months before a British expeditionary force of about 200,000 men filled the French defenses exercise together with an exercise instructor north of Sedan. The Germans advance 50 miles a day and are close to Arras. The Cabinet War of the French proposed the idea that the armies north of the gulf German move south to meet with the Germans to retain them while the French divisions in the center and south of the country will move north to attack the Germans on the southern flank. But even French divisions are Bender Ball reorganized. The British expeditionary force is trapped at the time that the Germans reach the sea taking Boulogne. Aware of the prison in which they are beginning to move northward to defeat the British. Churchill accepted the idea of Lord Gort, under the command of British forces in as a last resort back to Dunkirk and evacuated leaving the team. He immediately gave orders that all the boats available in the channel to travel to Dunkirk by if needed to evacuate British army. The British still hoped to contain the Germans are waiting for the French divisions but everything becomes complicated when, a few days, the Germans invaded Belgium and completely broke the front in Ostend. The British are completely surrounded and they have no choice but to use the last fitness routine resort. Despite the humiliation surrounded the French at Lille attacked the Germans to keep ocupardos and prevent further divisions to attack the British. Hitler decided not to send German divisions and only harass the British in the air. Despite the fact that this act was interpreted as an attempt by Hitler to force a possible alliance with England, Churchill ofrerce another thesis: German divisions had Bender Ball advanced too quickly and needed fuel. Besides the harassment air was neutralized because the bombs caused little damage on the sandy beach of Dunkirk and because the RAF began to face the Germans by air in this scenario. More than 250,000 between British, French and Belgian barely manage to be evacuated in 48 hours. Churchill relieved looks like it is possible to reconstruct the British army not only for defense but to go back to liberate Europe.
The speeches of Churchill were a source of inspiration for the British people. His first speech as prime minister included the famous phrase "I have nothing to offer other than blood, sweat, tears and effort." It was followed by other famous speech before the Battle of Britain. Bender Ball One included the following quote: "shall defend our island whatever the cost, will fight on the beaches, fight on the landing sites, will fight in the fields and streets, will fight in the hills: we will never surrender."
